IN THE FRAME
In The Frame
​
A fundraising exhibition for Refuge inspired by women who have pushed beyond the expectations of others and made themselves visible to the world through their creativity and resilience.
​
The decision had to be made to bring this exhibition into an on-line event only, due to the effects of COVID 19.
The list of Artists and the diversity of genres illustrates the dedication of HCA who have made 'In The Frame' possible.
​
The challenge of the last 12 months has seen women reframing domesticity from the window of video calls and reshaping the flow of social media in innovative ways claiming the cultural ground and owning the space.
​
'If there are no great celebrated women artists, that's because the powers that be have not been celebrating them, not because they are not there.'
