Like a politician on the News I am seated in front of a very impressive bookcase.
It is an idea that germinated whilst zooming with friends. I thought I would create a backdrop behind me to keep out the cold.
Then I thought I could make an imaginery bookcase with titles to make my friends laugh and it has progressed to this.
The Unchained Library is a nod to Hereford's own Chained Library housed in the Cathedral.
It is a collaboration created especially for International Women's day 2021. It is made up of ficticious titles and are responses to experiences and emotions of living through Covid 19.
Over 140 people, mainly women and children sent their art and craft creations to us.
They will be in the windows at H.C.A. in the Folly Lane campus from 8th March for the next few weeks.
Every bookspine sent to us has been included.
Take a look, they are inspirational, clever, poignant, sad, hilarious and all a genuine response to a very difficult time from local people.
Thankyou everyone who got involved.
